NEW YORK FASHION WEEK STREET STYLE DREAMS / SS17
As
New York Fashion Week comes to a wrap, it’s definitely time to reflect on some
of the raddest styles seen on the streets. Amongst the floaty florals, bold
pops of colour and edgy metallic’s, chunky statement earrings and retro
stripes, the streets were filled in an utter abundance of slinky slip dresses
hastily layered over tee’s and blouses and I am totally A-OK with it. On
another note I am totally digging the comeback of the one-sleeve look. So sexy
but cool at the same time right?! NEED NEED NEED ASAP! This is hands down one
of the hottest styles to rock before the industry totally overkill it and it
ends up front window display of a tacky, designer imitating boutique - no
thanks (mouth vom). As much as I drool over the sight of a stylish
gal wearing a hot pair of denim cut off jeans, I am so glad in a few weeks time
when the spring hits harder, they will be a distant memory. Sayonara overdone
denim and hello to a new season of pants.
A few pieces to invest in based on NYFW:
- Do yourself a favour and buy a slip dress, you will get so
much wear out of it I guarantee plus they're the EASIEST layering piece you'll have in your wardrobe
- Show your face, slick your hair and throw on some
statement earrings, this look is killer
- Invest in slides or low heeled mule style slip on’s, they
will be your easiest summer accessory
- Retro Stripes are timeless, get onto it!
- Metallic bottoms are a winner, dress them down with
sneakers and a basic tee for effortless edge
- See RED, since when isn’t red a universal colour?! BUY BUY
BUY, dresses, lipstick, shoes, ANYTHING
- Sneakers! Worn with
your best dress is definitely the easiest combo to style down and funk up the femininity
of your look and on the plus side your feet will love you all day long
-Hand bags - like an actual HAND held bag, be an adult and
carry your crap cutely
