UNPOPULAR OPINION : I DON'T LOVE JEANS

(Wearing - Top: Country Road / Pants: Uniqlo Australia / Sunglasses: Gucci)

Shame on me says every blogger of 2017 for even writing on such a topic but really its true... I don't love jeans... at this current point in time. Well actually I don't think I've ever loved jeans - maybe its because I've never managed to find the right pair? Maybe it's due to the fact I'm tired of seeing 'Mum Bum' on every second Instagram feed. Do not even get me started on those ridiculous slits they have started slicing into the under-ass area. These jeans are totally 110% not okay unless you literally want attention drawn to your ass or you need constant airflow to that region for some bizarre reason. If you are a parent and you let your child wear these - I do not appreciate your parenting skills.

Now don't get me wrong, I adore my lil cropped grey-denim flares  and I do love a good boyfriend jean but I just don't really see jeans as a wardrobe staple for myself. Unless they're high waisted, I can tend to look more vertically challenged than usual (no thanks). That's again probably because of the fact I have never scored the perfect pair and honestly, I don't have the willpower to put that much time and effort into such issue.

Personally, my go-to staple in the pants department is more of a palazzo style. Something lightweight that I can layer over multiple pairs of stockings while it's cooler then seasonally transition to pair with a simple cami in the heat. Super easy.
I couldn't possibly eat myself into a coma on the daily if I was restricted by those rigid waistbands. Don't get me wrong I love muffin tops, only in my mouth though. I also really do not appreciate in the slightest those thick seams riding up through my cardinal treasures as I'm walking at my typical 97km/h pace. I know you all feel me too, you just don't want to admit it.

The fact that im 5.1ft tall with the waist of a 12 year old (literally) is a severe hindrance to finding the "perfect pair". Either I end up in DIY Paper-bag Waist jeans or perusing the children section feverishly avoiding plastic rhinestone motifs and embroidered flowers. So help a sister out - what are your go-to brands? Have any of my 5ft sisters out there found that to-die-for denim that accommodates to the vertically challenged or teenage hipped? Leave your opinions or finds in the comments!
